Metropolitan Imageworks

The last time I photographed TJ he was a squishy, little newborn!  Now he is a little man at two years old!  We met up at the Riverwalk last week and braved the 90 degree temps and sweltering humidity for a quick photoshoot.  TJ was a perfect gentleman and smiled and hammed it up for my camera.  Then after 25 minutes in the crazy heat it all went downhill,  but we already captured exactly what we needed!

I fit in a quick session of the young cuties in the Wagenknecht clan on the day prior to their aunt’s wedding.  We all met up at the Riverwalk walk and to all of our surprise it was in the mid-70′s and sunny!  This was after rescheduling from a weekend in May due to horrible weather.  I think this was a pretty good warm-up session to prepare some of the younger ones for my camera the following day.  The kids outnumbered the adults and while we had a good run of it, some of the little guys just weren’t feeling all warm and fuzzy. That’s ok, though, because I don’t promise smiles, I promise personality.

And, that’s a wrap, the boys are DONE!

Jack, Ella, Luke and their parents met up with me a few weeks ago for the final Metimages Fall Photo session at the Naperville Riverwalk. The last time Jack posed for portraits he was a year old and now he is four! I also had the pleasure of photographing his mom and dad’s wedding back in 2007 during an early December ice-storm which made for some quick and interesting outdoor portraits!  Seeing them as a complete family and watching them all interact is so much fun for me. While the early morning temps were cool, we moved around enough and had a blast tickling and posing and smiling and jumping.

It seems Asher and I will have an annual date each fall if his mom has anything to say about it! Last year we traipsed around the greenway near his house and this year we hit the Riverwalk with Asher and his mom and dad.  Saturday turned out to be an amazing morning with the crisp air, lovely colors on the trees and the smell of fall wafting all around.  Asher is a typical 2 and three-quarter year old in that he doesn’t walk, he RUNS everywhere!  It was fun trying to keep up and keep him entertained.  I think he gave me two thumbs up; he asked for a kiss before I left!
