It’s very important for me to mention to my clients that I don’t promise smiles in portrait sessions, I promise personality. Personally, it doesn’t matter if my subject is having a rough day because as long as their personality shines through then I consider my job well done. Penelope is just the cutest, little lovable bug. We had our session at the Lincoln Park Conservatory Sunday morning and who knew it also rains INSIDE the building? I guess it’s old enough and the glass roof has weak spots. No worries, she and I both still crawled around and explored and it was the most fun I had getting down and dirty in a long time. Most often Penny was happy to be in someones arms be it Mom or Dad or even me – talk about making me feel loved! On top of that, as soon as we met up for the session Penny’s mom said she had a present for me and boy do I love presents . . . she knitted me the cutest, softest baby hammock for posing newborns during portrait sessions . . . cannot wait to put it to use!!!

ANNELIESE IS ONE!
January 14th, 2010
Last weekend I had my third portrait session with Annie , who just turned one. As always she was a delight to photograph albeit just a bit more mobile this time around. She sure loves posing for the camera! So does her dog, Beacon!
