I fit in a quick session of the young cuties in the Wagenknecht clan on the day prior to their aunt’s wedding.  We all met up at the Riverwalk walk and to all of our surprise it was in the mid-70′s and sunny!  This was after rescheduling from a weekend in May due to horrible weather.  I think this was a pretty good warm-up session to prepare some of the younger ones for my camera the following day.  The kids outnumbered the adults and while we had a good run of it, some of the little guys just weren’t feeling all warm and fuzzy. That’s ok, though, because I don’t promise smiles, I promise personality.

And, that’s a wrap, the boys are DONE!

This little bit of sunshine is Keira, the daughter of some of Dave and Gina, whose wedding I photographed in 2008. They brought Keira out to the Naperville Riverwalk just to meet me. Isn’t that sweet? Ok, actually they brought her out for her very first Metimages portrait session and although she wasn’t feeling 100% she won me over with her smiles and her stylin’ pink hat!

I had the pleasure of photographing the Naperville Area Humane Society Black Cat Gala for the second year in a row. As a fond supporter of the NAHS, it’s great to help out in different ways.  Once again, Meson Sabika outdid themselves on the food and service and sangria.  The tables were jam packed full of items for the silent auction and although it seems a harder year for most, the generosity and donations poured in from the supporters during the live auction and giving portion. Thank you everyone who attended and your generous donations!
