One of our weddings is featured on the Wedloft Blog today! Take a peek and relive Liz and Mark’s Indian Summer wedding day at the Morton Arboretum last October!

You might remember Liz and Mark from their engagement session earlier this summer where we traipsed all over New Buffalo, Michigan and shared a fun day out while shooting engagement portraits at all the local hot spots.

This past weekend welcomed their wedding day with the most glorious weather – high 80′s in October! Plus all the lovely fall foliage and a super-size and whole lot of fun wedding party with 25 friends and family members. Honestly it was perfect!

Liz and Mark chose to see each other prior to the ceremony in an intimate setting near Marmo Lake at Morton Arboretum, with just the two of them (and Metimages paparazzi.) We then spent some time exploring the grounds by car with just Liz and Mark and later by tram with their attendants and immediate families. I like it when the party starts early!

Mark’s mom is a pastor an conducted an extremely heartfelt ceremony – complete with dancing shoulders and a lovely wrought iron coat rack. It was amazing to witness the closeness of each of their families and share in such a meaningful presentation. The celebration continued with cocktails, slide shows, emotional and hysterical toasts and a jam-packed dance floor.

Ceremony & Reception: Morton Arboretum, Lisle, IL

Last Saturday was the perfect fall day, luckily I was able to fit portrait sessions in all day long and take advantage!  Maddie and Liam and their parents joined me at the Morton Arboretum Childrens Garden and we got to explore, climb on things (note to self it’s easier to use the slide then try to walk down the psuedo rock wall) and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

I am almost positive the kids practiced their smiles and poses in the mirror in the week prior as they were the perfect subjects!  Mom and Dad did pretty well too!

I have the pleasure of photographing these three cuties last Friday in the Childrens Garden at the Morton Arboretum!  Kudos to their dad for observing and speaking up, as I was photographing in the same location earlier in May and he noticed and approached me to get my contact info and schedule his own childrens session with me! Let me tell you now three kids is no easy feat!

Spencer, Megan & Quinn got to frolick with the tadpoles, climb on the structures and run around for an hour while I just documented them at play. Every once in a while I got a smile dedicated to the camera and got to hear Spencer yell, “Macaroni Pizza” in lieu of the old “Say Cheese” standby.  We even attempted to sneak in a few family shots.
