Metropolitan Imageworks

It’s been an amazing journey with the M family, one that is not completely over yet.  I’m banking I will hang on until both Toni and Bianca get married!!!  From photographing their mom and dad’s wedding four years ago to photographing Toni’s first year milestones and now completing Bianca’s first year milestones, I honestly have become a part of their family.  Not to mention that mom and dad are pretty darn fun to just hang out with and we always find ourselves laughing together.  I cannot believe what a little lady Bianca has become and she is indeed the ringleader of all the antics between her and older sis’ Toni.  I just love the way they interact and of course I am in awe of how gorgeous and well spoken little Miss Toni is now at three years of age!  Of course not that I expected any less from her parents!  Now I will have to find excuses to see them every few months instead of just waiting until the annual portrait session.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for entrusting me to creating your photographic memories for so long!!!

Here’s my friend Maddox, back on the blog for her 9 month portrait session.  I have this little munchkin trained, I swear each time I put my camera to my eye she looked straight at me grinned!!! Too cute!  Can’t wait to see her again in February for her one year session.  I’m excited to see what antics another three months brings.

Still cracks me up!

Our star Coby is back again.  You may recall seeing his Milestones from October 2009-October 2010, with mom’s maternity session as a preview and then Coby’s 1st birthday party pumpkin celebration.  It’s time for another portrait session as Coby is growing by leaps and bounds and has the cutest little personality.  Mom and dad are expecting again and Coby will be a big brother this fall and I just know he’ll do a find job!

Maddox is one of my 2011 Milestone babies and her family joined me at Disney for her 6-month portrait session!  Maddox’s mom and dad are avid Disney fans and I am sure Maddox is following in their footsteps.  We met up at the Grand Californian and started with Maddox posing in their room. Then we headed out onto the lush grounds and had ample time of a happy baby for some family shots as well.  Grandma and Grandpa recently celebrated 50 years of marriage in the area and were able to tag along for the session.  Little Maddox sits up like a champ and is in love with a silver baby rattle that her grandma gave her. And of course, what teething babe doesn’t love having a Sophie around during portraits?

Our awesome Metimage’s intern, Barb, filled in for a Milestone portrait session with Bianca a couple weeks ago in Chicago, and it was hot out!  Bianca and family met up with Barb on the grounds of Dominican University and spent a lovely morning documenting Bianca’s 9-Month session.  Fortunately they were able to escape some of the heat and prevent a melt-down a little longer by heading inside one of the buildings to finish off the session.  Bianca once again aced the portrait session and showed her many smiles and smirks!

I can’t even begin to describe how lucky I feel to have been Gemma’s photographer for the first year of her young life. I saw the laughter and tears, the fabulous outfits her mom always put together for the portrait sessions, tummy time love and hate, sitting up by herself, standing with a little help and her emerging personality with each and every shoot.  Thank for you for allowing me to document her milestones!

If you have been following my  blog for any length of time then I’m sure you’ve enjoyed little glimpses of Jacob aka Coby.  It all started with his mom’s awesome maternity session. We had so much fun and mom and dad loved the images so much that they went ahead and booked my Milestones Package, so I can document Coby’s changes every three months during his first year.  He was such a little trooper for his newborn session, he teased me during his three-month session and finally the real stud came alive during his six-month session last week. Honestly, his giggles and belly laughs triggered my own giggles and belly laughs.

Looking forward to Coby’s Nine-Month Portrait Session later this summer!

It’s been over two years since I have had a session with Mia.  She is such a little “grown-up” now and was so comfortable during the shoot. We spent a lot of time naming animals and making animal sounds!  Mia is making her mom bring her back once we have the backyard chicken coop stocked.

Luke’s a professional Metropolitan Imageworks baby! He has been prancing and posing for me since he was a newborn.  His visit to my studio on Tuesday was for his One Year Milestone! (Mom and Dad have also spent some quality time prancing and posing for my camera for their own portrait sessions as well! I love being a full service family photographer!)

Finally, I was able to get my lens centered on Toni during her 6-month portrait session.  In 2006, we did the photography and video for her parent’s wedding and have stayed friends since then. I was ecstatic to learn of the pregnancy and then very sad when the timing of the newborn and 3-month portraits coincided with our annual Arizona hibernation.  Luckily for us, Ariel was available and stepped right in to handle those sessions. So I claimed the 6-month session as all mine, and patiently I waited for Toni to grow and sit up on her own.  Although she wasn’t bubbly and smiley for the entire session, she eeked out a few. But one thing is for sure, she has the diva posing down pat!
