Metropolitan Imageworks

It’s been an amazing journey with the M family, one that is not completely over yet.  I’m banking I will hang on until both Toni and Bianca get married!!!  From photographing their mom and dad’s wedding four years ago to photographing Toni’s first year milestones and now completing Bianca’s first year milestones, I honestly have become a part of their family.  Not to mention that mom and dad are pretty darn fun to just hang out with and we always find ourselves laughing together.  I cannot believe what a little lady Bianca has become and she is indeed the ringleader of all the antics between her and older sis’ Toni.  I just love the way they interact and of course I am in awe of how gorgeous and well spoken little Miss Toni is now at three years of age!  Of course not that I expected any less from her parents!  Now I will have to find excuses to see them every few months instead of just waiting until the annual portrait session.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for entrusting me to creating your photographic memories for so long!!!

I found a few images that were sizzling, but not too hot to blog about!  The weather was humid and sticky and while for the most part lent itself to the outdoor IM theme, I am very glad I thought to pack my own swimsuit so I could have a break and cool off halfway through the session.  Nothing says Intimate like your photographer yelling, “Cannonball” and jumping into the water!  Seriously though, my subject was phenomenal and being outdoors didn’t phase her one bit. I cannot wait to work on the album and hear all about the recipients reaction.

G became an Ironman(woman) as of November 21, 2010 at 10:27 pm. What better way to celebrate such an accomplishment than by having an Intimate Moments session?!  I was delighted with her stories of her interactions with other IM participants throughout the raceday. Seriously, each time she told me a story my jaw dropped and I got the chills. Talk about sense of camaraderie and being there for your fellow participants. She is truly a beautiful woman both inside and out.  Now here’s some of the outside!

We had another successful weekend hosting an Intimate Moments Marathon in downtown Chicago at the end of November.  Eight amazing women graced us with their presence over two fun-filled days.  Our accommodations were once again fantastic and the view was stunning from the living room area of the suite.

On March 30th & 31st, Metropolitan Imageworks completed their 7th Intimate Moments Marathon!  What’s an IM Marathon?  It’s when we book a couture hotel room for multiple days and bring in the fabulous Nikolina Apostolovski of Moya Make-up for hair and make-up styling, and book 6-7 girls each day for their own personal Intimate Moments photo shoot with me!  Why a hotel room? We book swanky hotel suites in the heart of downtown Chicago which allows the living area for hair/make-up prep and staging. My lovely associates, Kira and Ariel, are typically on hand to welcome the clients in, show them samples of finished albums, talk about the process and of course mix mimosas.  I use the bedroom part of the suite for the actual photoshoot, which allows for maximum privacy. And yes, I use the entire bedroom from the bed to the nightstands to desks and tables and onto fun balancing acts in windowsills. No portion goes un-photographed.
